The meaning behind Dún Haven

Our name is inspired by the Irish word “Dúnlaing,” which is the origin of our founder’s surname, Dowling. In Irish, “Dún” means harbour or refuge, and “long” means ship. Together, they conjure the image of a safe harbour—a place of strength, shelter, and new beginnings. Dún Haven is designed to be just that: a refuge for self-expression and comfort in the everyday journey.
